You can access registration and create your user account from the BBVA API_Market home page or from the API page you are interested in. Just fill out a short form. Don’t forget to say if you are a private developer or if you represent a company.
In this form, we will also ask you to choose in which country you want to register as a user. Make sure you create your user account in the private area corresponding to the country of the APIs you are interested in.
Depending on the country, the private area and the sandbox where you can test the BBVA APIs are different. The private area of Spain and Mexico is different from that of the United States. So if you’re interested in Mexico’s APIs, you’ll need to sign up for the private area of Spain and Mexico. And remember: you can register as a user in the two private areas (Spain/Mexico and the United States) without any problem.
You will have to accept the terms of use corresponding to the private area of the country in which you are registering. When you’re ready, hit the register button and check your incoming mail. We’ll send you a link so you can activate your account. You will not be able to enter BBVA API_Market if you have not activated it first.
Once you have registered and validated your account, it is time to create your app and start exploring all the potential that BBVA’s APIs offer you when it comes to transforming your business and boosting your projects. An app is the application that will use the APIs you choose depending on the service you want to build.
Log in to the access to BBVA API_Market for Spain and Mexico and access “My Apps”. Inside this screen click the button to create an application.
To create an app you’ll go through three different screens:

General Information
In this section you have to complete the general information of your app. You give it a name, choose the country that offers the APIs you are interested in. In the following box you must indicate sandbox or production. You can only choose production if you have already signed a contract with us. Remember to enter your application ID and an outline that may help you in the future to remember what you created your app for.
APIs
In this section you choose the APIs your app will use.
Browser URL
Here you must fill in the fields “Host URL”, “Redirect URL” and “OTP URL”. The “Terms and Conditions URL” field is important, but only when your app is published in production.
If you’ve followed all the steps above, you will have created your app correctly. Now you can go to your personal menu and select “Dashboard”. In this dashboard, you’ll see all the apps you’ve created, the calls you’ve made, and you’ll be able to test your apps directly.
