BBVA API Market
Did you stop at the South Summit? If you did, you must have seen our products right at the entrance. This is one of the must-go events in the Spanish calendar for the digital industry and BBVA API_Market was both a participant and a sponsor of the South Summit Hackathon.
Some 70 people, most of them between the ages of 20 and 35, formed 14 teams to present one proposal per team. There were four prizes: one overall and the other from the partners (BBVA_API Market, Ferrovial and Amadeus), each of which proposed their own challenge.
BBVA API_Market rewarded the “Spaces” team for their “Comarch” proposal. The decision was based on the proposal’s innovation and originality as well as its functionality and level of development.
“Comarch,” a B2B system for travel companies, seemed to us a concrete, necessary solution with commercial viability. Additionally, it uses BBVA API_Market APIs, just like the startup which won the Global “MR Code” award with its project “My Travel Budget.”
For us, it’s very important to expose ourselves to new ideas and to the feedback that they give us on our APIs. The hackathon participants gave us that in a very generous and very positive way. We also spoke at one of the talks where Ricardo Segoviano, Head of BBVA Open Platform Spain, explained the case of BBVA Valora View at the Innovation Stage by BBVA.
